Basketball Game Preview: Walton Wildcats vs. Taft Golden Eagles

The Walton Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Taft Golden Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Walton took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They strolled past Evander Childs with points to spare, taking the game 42-24. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, everything went Taft's way against Evander Childs on Monday as Taft made off with a 43-20 win. That's two games straight that the Golden Eagles have won by exactly 23 points.

Walton's record is now 2-3. As for Taft, their record is now 2-0.

Walton was able to grind out a solid victory over Taft in their previous matchup back in February, winning 66-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
