Sadly, Collin Sampson posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Purnell Swett over Cape Fear on Tuesday. Sampson went 9 of 15 en route to 30 points and five boards. The effort marked the most points he has had since back in January of 2024.

Sampson and Purnell Swett won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lumberton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sampson hasn't had any trouble running up the score (he's averaged 19.6 per game this season), but he'll have his work cut out for him against a dominant the Pirates defense that's only given up 32.1 points per game.
