Smith has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Jansen Brown was another key player, putting up nine points.

John Carroll Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Brewer, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
