High school football: Juggling catch by future Kentucky receiver Armond Scott among this week's Top 10 plays

Circus reception ranks No. 2 behind remarkable game-ending Hail Mary in Texas.

Armond Scott seemed surprised the ball even got to him. But the 6-foot-3, 200-pound Kentucky-bound receiver from Euclid (Ohio) somehow made a juggling catch between three defenders, got to the end zone and landed in this week's high school football Top 10 plays.

Scott tipped the ball at least four different times before finally hauling in the 70-yard touchdown from Malachi Davis, one of two scoring connections between the duo in their team's 30-20 playoff loss to St. Ignatius.

The crazy catch was bettered by one play, and that was a thriller — a 51-yard Hail Mary on the game's last play as Spring (Texas) beat rival Westfield 27-23.

Down 23-21, Spring quarterback Bishop Davenport retreated to the 38, evaded a tackler, stepped up to the 41 and heaved the ball nearly 60 yards before junior wide receiver Travis Sims somehow hauled it in at the goal line before falling in to the end zone.

Among the other top plays are two sensational hurdles that led to touchdowns, one from Texas A&M bound receiver Shadrach Banks of second-ranked North Shore (Houston), and the other by Derrick Kelley Jr. of Shaw (Columbus, Ga.).
