            For the second straight game, Estrella Foothills will face off against Peoria. Estrella Foothills will venture away from home to  take on Peoria  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Estrella Foothills has given up an average of 17.1  runs per game this season, but Thursday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
While Estrella Foothills'  win against Peoria wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Estrella Foothills had just enough and edged out Peoria  15-14 on Tuesday. The  victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.
 Ilse Penaloza Leyva made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and eight unearned) runs off   12  hits. That one  earned run gave  her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4. She also  brought in two  RBI, marking her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Chloe Montano was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Jaedene Cruz was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 Estrella Foothills was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .410. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
 Peoria is  on  a  33-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11. As for Estrella Foothills, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-13.
