Volleyball Recap: Gateway Charter Comes Up Short

Gateway Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Moore Haven Terriers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Griffins of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-11.

Moore Haven found their leader in freshman Kulipa Julian, who had 14 digs and six aces. With that strong performance, Julian is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Gateway Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Moore Haven, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

Gateway Charter has already played their next matchup (against East Lee County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Moore Haven, they will challenge Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
