Basketball Game Preview: DeKalb Barbs vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The DeKalb Barbs and the Roosevelt Rough Riders will face off at 8:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. The timing is sure in DeKalb's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Roosevelt has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

DeKalb is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 74-27 victory over Bulls College Prep. Given the Barbs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Bulls are ranked 575th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-23, which was the final score in Roosevelt's tilt against East Moline United on Thursday.

DeKalb has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
