Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of JUNE WALLACE and MOLLY HOWE Lead Hopewell to Victory

Hopewell won the last time they faced West Mecklenburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Hopewell Titans enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over the West Mecklenburg Hawks. The Titans didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Leading Hopewell to victory were MOLLY HOWE and JUNE WALLACE. HOWE dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while WALLACE dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards. Those 24 points gave WALLACE a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JEWEL OSBORNE, who posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Hopewell's record is now 5-15. As for West Mecklenburg, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Hopewell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-3 defeat against North Mecklenburg on the 11th. As for West Mecklenburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 86-7 loss against Mallard Creek on the 11th.
