Baseball Game Preview: West Forsyth Titans vs. South Iredell Vikings

The West Forsyth Titans will square off against the South Iredell Vikings on Tuesday. The last three games West Forsyth has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

West Forsyth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Reagan 5-4. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one run.

Grimsley typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday South Iredell proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Whirlies 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

West Forsyth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for South Iredell, their win bumped their record up to 20-8.

Everything went West Forsyth's way against South Iredell in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as West Forsyth made off with a 14-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
