Basketball Game Preview: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Waterloo Vikings

The Western Reserve Blue Devils will challenge the Waterloo Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Western Reserve's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Waterloo has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Western Reserve had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 31-point drubbing they dealt McKinley on Friday. Western Reserve claimed a resounding 62-31 victory over McKinley. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Waterloo didn't have quite enough to beat Springfield on Friday and fell 44-41.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Western Reserve, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Western Reserve strolled past Waterloo in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 34-19. Will Western Reserve repeat their success, or does Waterloo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
