Basketball Recap: Anthony Martin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mcqueen

After losing to McQueen the last time they met, Galena decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Galena Grizzlies took down the McQueen Lancers 66-50 on Friday.

Galena's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Martin, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Bronander, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and five assists.

McQueen lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alex Grush, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Abram Carpenter, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Galena has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for McQueen, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
