Basketball Recap: Woodward Takes a Loss

Woodward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 68-56 to the Hughes BIG RED. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the BIG RED apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Woodward's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hughes, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Woodward will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Cross at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Hughes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-41 win against Bishop Fenwick on the 21st.
