Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Piedmont

Monroe is 0-10 against Piedmont since March of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Monroe Redhawks will face off against the Piedmont Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

Monroe fell victim to Grace Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lions. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, while Piedmont scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. They and Sun Valley finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Monday.

Piedmont's draw gives them a new season record of 0-2-2. As for Monroe, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Monroe suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Piedmont in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Monroe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
