Basketball Recap: Pahokee Takes a Loss

Pahokee played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Immokalee Indians, falling 58-35. The Blue Devils' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Despite the loss, Pahokee still got an impressive performance from Brandon Watson, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Immokalee found their leader in sophomore Timarian Howard, who went 7 for 9 en route to 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals Howard has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jose Marquez, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points.

Pahokee's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Immokalee, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Pahokee will host Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pahokee is facing Dreyfoos School of the Arts at the right time seeing as Dreyfoos School of the Arts is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Immokalee, they will venture away from home to take on East Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Lee County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Immokalee likes a good challenge.
