Baseball Recap: Mason County Central Takes a Loss

Mason County Central managed to slip by Ravenna the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans lost 11-4 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Mason County Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Merz, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Merz has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Mason County Central's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Ravenna, their record is now 2-4.
