Basketball Recap: Southern Aroostook Takes a Loss

If Southern Aroostook was riding high fresh off their 66-24 takedown of Ashland last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Southern Aroostook Warriors took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stearns Minutemen. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Minutemen earlier this season, when they won 60-57.

Southern Aroostook has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Stearns, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Aroostook will challenge Central Aroostook at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Stearns, they will take on Lee Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
