Southridge hadn't done well against Hermiston recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Suns walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bulldogs. This was payback for the Suns, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 13-25, 25-11.

The win made it two in a row for Southridge and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Hermiston, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Southridge will challenge rival Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hermiston is set to face off against their familiar foe Walla Walla at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
