It was a good run, but Lipan unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Valley Mills Eagles by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since April 23, 2024.

Ryan Atkinson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Freeman, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lipan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Valley Mills, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Lipan by a score of 20-6 later that day.
