Baseball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Springs Valley Blackhawks. The match marked the Bluejackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mitchell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Zeeks, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Springs Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mitchell will host West Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springs Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tell City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
