Baseball Recap: Okemos Extends Winning Streak to Three

Okemos had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Grand Ledge Comets. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly three runs.

Okemos pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Grand Ledge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okemos will welcome Waverly at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grand Ledge, they will host Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.6 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
