Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Olympic Heights

Olympic Heights took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Leonard, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Lancers 3-2 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Olympic Heights was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-27, 25-23, 15-9.

Clea Spahiu paced Olympic Heights' offense, picking up 12 kills. Spahiu got some help from Nicole D'Annunzio and her 23 assists. Vivienne Roddy and Viviana DiTonno kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

Olympic Heights' win bumped their record up to 7-6. As for Leonard, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7.

Olympic Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leonard, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lake Worth on the 8th.
