Soccer Recap: Walton Comes Up Short

Walton and Pensacola squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Walton had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pensacola Tigers by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by just one goal.

Sophia Rodriguez and Kaylee Jimenez scored all three of Walton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Walton's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Pensacola, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.

Walton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pensacola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Pensacola Catholic on the 28th.
