Volleyball Recap: King Academy Comes Up Short

King Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Wardlaw Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

King Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wardlaw Academy work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19.

King Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Wardlaw Academy, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6.

Coming up, King Academy will challenge Mead Hall Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wardlaw Academy, they will take on Augusta Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
