Football Recap: Concord Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Concord lost against Northwest Cabarrus back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spiders took a blow against the Trojans, falling 42-13. While the Spiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 13-7 in the first quarter.

Northwest Cabarrus found their leader in sophomore Zack Riddle, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles. Titus Troy's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northwest Cabarrus, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Concord will face off against Salisbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will square off against West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
