Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Silas Lofton and Manolo Vazquez Lead Legacy Academy to Victory

Legacy Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against Non Varsity Opponent by a score of 57-50. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against Non Varsity Opponent back in December of 2024, they had to take a 85-83 defeat.

Legacy Academy was led to victory by Manolo Vazquez and Silas Lofton. Vazquez posted 20 points along with eight steals and seven boards, while Lofton went 6 of 14 en route to 14 points and four steals. That's the most steals Lofton has posted since back in November of 2024. Ozzy Toledano was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.

Legacy Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Legacy Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-19.

Legacy Academy will face off against Valley Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Non Varsity Opponent has already played their next game, a 49-43 loss against Clark Fork on the 4th.
