Basketball Recap: St. Mary Central Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Mary Central Catholic lost against Old Fort back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers had to suffer through a 78-40 loss at the hands of the Old Fort Stockaders. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Stockaders are ranked 181st).

This is the second loss in a row for St. Mary Central Catholic and nudges their season record down to 3-9. As for Old Fort, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

St. Mary Central Catholic will square off against New Riegel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Old Fort has already played their next matchup (against St. Joseph Central Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
