Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Eagles vs. Franklin Lions

Rogers is 0-8 against Franklin since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Rogers Eagles will challenge the Franklin Lions at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rogers will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Little River Academy, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Rogers took down Little River Academy 52-36 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Franklin waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They breezed by the Tigers to the tune of 61-25. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

The win got Rogers back to even at 10-10. As for Franklin, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Rogers came up short against Franklin when the teams last played back in February of 2020, falling 52-41. Can Rogers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
