Basketball Game Preview: Wagon Mound Trojans vs. Maxwell Bears

Wagon Mound hasn't had much luck against Maxwell recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wagon Mound Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Maxwell Bears at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wagon Mound is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springer. The Trojans were down 59-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Maxwell entered their tilt with Springer on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 68-55.

Maxwell's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Wagon Mound, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Wagon Mound took a serious blow against Maxwell in their previous meeting on Monday, falling 82-46. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wagon Mound was down 50-26.
