Basketball Recap: West Windsor-Plainsboro North Gets the Win

West Windsor-Plainsboro North proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 39) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Allentown Redbirds 54-51. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Redbirds are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Windsor-Plainsboro North's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Allentown, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Windsor-Plainsboro North will square off against Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Notre Dame will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Windsor-Plainsboro North surely won't give up without a fight. As for Allentown, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
