Baseball Game Preview: Fitchburg Blue Raiders vs. Leominster Blue Devils

Fitchburg is 0-9 against Leominster since April of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Blue Raiders will welcome the Blue Devils at 3:00 p.m. The contest will give Fitchburg their first taste of in-conference action this season.

Fitchburg is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They came up short against Watertown, falling 10-4.

Meanwhile, Leominster had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Falcons 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Fitchburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Leominster, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
