Baseball Game Preview: Chippewa Valley Big Reds vs. Romeo Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Chippewa Valley will face off against Romeo. The Big Reds will challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chippewa Valley will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Romeo, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Big Reds narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Big Reds.

Ben Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alex Hall, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Romeo moved to 14-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Chippewa Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-7-1.
