Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Magruder

Magruder won against Poolesville last Thursday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Colonels blew past the Damascus Hornets 13-4. The Colonels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by nine runs or more this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Magruder, bringing their record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Damascus, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Magruder will host Sherwood at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Damascus, they will challenge Poolesville on Thursday.
