Softball Recap: Barbourville Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Barbourville's offense. They came up short against the Knott County Central Patriots on Tuesday, falling 13-0. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Barbourville's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Knott County Central, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barbourville will take on Bell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Knott County Central, they will square off against Cordia at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.56 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
