Softball Recap: Newberry's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newberry). They never let the Pickford Panthers get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Indians with their most commanding win of the season.

Newberry's win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Pickford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Newberry will welcome Brimley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pickford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-0 loss against St. Ignace on the 15th.
