Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Clear Lake Cardinals

The Trinity Wolves lost against the Clear Lake Cardinals back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Trinity was the victim of a rough 59-37 loss at the hands of Clear Lake. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trinity has scored all season.

Trinity's loss came despite strong showings from Luka Robles and Carver Dresselhaus. Robles dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Dresselhaus scored seven points along with nine rebounds. The game was Robles' fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Clear Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cody Hayes, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Hayes' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jake Soderquist, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Clear Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will take on Central Valley at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Central Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Thursday. As for Clear Lake, they will be playing at home against Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
