Volleyball Recap: Trumbull Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Trumbull, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Joseph Cadets on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Trumbull was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-12.

St. Joseph lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mary DeCaro, who had 12 digs. Another player making a difference was Ana Joksovic, who had seven digs.

Trumbull has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for St. Joseph, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trumbull is set to take on their familiar foe Stamford at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will square off against rival Westhill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
