Breleigh Favre of Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, Miss.) is following in her famous father's footsteps.

The daughter of Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre committed to play volleyball at Southern Mississippi on Tuesday, according to Jason Munz of the Hattiesburg American.

A 6-foot outside hitter, Breleigh recorded 85 kills, 31 aces and seven blocks in leading the Warriors to the Class 3A state semifinals last year.

Thanks in part to Favre's efforts, Oak Grove is out to an impressive 19-3 record and No. 1 overall state ranking this season.

Brett Favre was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame over the summer. The former Packer, Viking and Jet is among the all-time leaders for pass completed (1), attempts (1), yards (2) and touchdowns (2)
