Baseball Recap: West Allis Hale Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marquette University, West Allis Hale was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Superior Spartans by a score of 6-3.

West Allis Hale got a great performance from Evan Aigner as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Luke Schaning was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Blake Etzel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

West Allis Hale's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Superior, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

West Allis Hale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 loss against Cedarburg on the 12th. As for Superior, they will challenge Duluth East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
