Basketball Recap: Cypress Bay Extends Home Winning Streak to 16

Cypress Bay had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 55-23 victory over the West Broward Bobcats. The Lightning have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 26 points or more this season.

Agam Gago went supernova for Cypress Bay, going 6 for 9 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Those 18 points gave Gago a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Danielle Oz, who posted seven points and seven boards.

When it comes to explaining why West Broward lost, don't look at Lamaria Williams. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points. That was a full 82.6% of West Broward's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
