Volleyball Recap: Mariemont Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Mariemont won the last time they faced Reading and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mariemont was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-12.

Annie Tully paced Mariemont's offense, picking up 14 kills. Tully got some help from Elle Seichter and her 33 assists. Seichter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mariemont pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Reading, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Mariemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Finneytown on the 11th. Reading has also already played their next matchup (against Wyoming), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
