Softball Recap: Bishop Lynch Friars vs. Ursuline Academy Bears
Bishop Lynch lost against Ursuline Academy back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bishop Lynch Friars took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ursuline Academy Bears.
Megan Holter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Eliana Garcia was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
On Ursuline Academy's side, Claire Nolan was incredible, going 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Kreutz, who scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Bishop Lynch's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Ursuline Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season.
