Football Game Preview: Linden Lions vs. Stone Ridge Christian Knights + Official Tickets

After each having a week off, the Linden Lions and the Stone Ridge Christian Knights will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Linden will head out to face Stone Ridge Christian after giving up their first home loss of the season last Friday. The Lions and Summerville were almost perfectly matched up, but the Lions suffered a 21-20 defeat.

Linden might have lost, but man, Andrew Juarez was a machine: he rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns. The Lions are 5-2 when Juarez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Stone Ridge Christian waltzed into their contest last Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 24-13 win over the Bulldogs.

Stone Ridge Christian's win came from a few key players Linden will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Daijon Oneil, who rushed for 131 yards and a pair of scores. Stone Ridge Christian also got a significant boost from Tj Mathews, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 131 yards.

Stone Ridge Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Linden suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Stone Ridge Christian, their record is now 9-1.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Linden has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 201.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Stone Ridge Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 171.4 rushing yards.
