Basketball Recap: Silver Creek's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Silver Creek won the last time they faced Madison, and Brody Mclaughlin did his part to make sure it happened again. The Silver Creek Dragons took down the Madison Cubs 86-69 on Friday thanks in part to Mclaughlin, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 25 points and seven boards. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Sprigler, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

The win (which was Silver Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 16-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.3 points per game. As for Madison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.

Silver Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-63 defeat against Bloomington South on the 1st. Madison has also already played their next game, a 63-49 victory against North Harrison on the 1st.
