Katelyn Willow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilianna Carre, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camp Hill). Everything went their way against Hanover on Thursday as they made off with a 24-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.
Haley Kessel was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Payton Beck, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Camp Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .688. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
Camp Hill's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Bermudian Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bermudian Springs hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Camp Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .411. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bermudian Springs beat Camp Hill 8-5 in their previous meeting back in March of 2015. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
