Basketball Recap: Clyde Piles Up the Points Against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy

Clyde's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 70-30 win over the San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy Eagles. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Eagles are ranked 1248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Clyde to victory were Madeline Underwood and Morgan Mauldin. Underwood dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards, while Mauldin posted 16 points and five steals. Clyde is 14-3 when Mauldin posts five or more steals, but 3-5 otherwise. Gracie Caperton was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.
