Volleyball Recap: Vernon Comes Up Short

Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bergenfield Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Vernon now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Bergenfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Vernon will venture away from home to challenge Clifton at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bergenfield, they will host Kennedy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
