Discovery Canyon put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Pueblo East Eagles by a score of 7-4. Those seven runs were actually the fewest the Thunder have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Andrew Torres tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nate Singleton, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Teltschik, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Discovery Canyon lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo East didn't launched any home runs.

Discovery Canyon's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Pueblo East, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Coming up, Discovery Canyon will head out to challenge Pine Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pueblo East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Golden at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Demons' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
