Softball Recap: La Crosse Central Riverhawks vs. Holmen Vikings
La Crosse Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Holmen Vikings, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-4 defeat two weeks ago.
Ellie Gillitzer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Elana Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
La Crosse Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Holmen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8.
As of now, neither La Crosse Central nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
