Soccer Game Preview: Huntsville vs. College Station

Huntsville hasn't had much luck against College Station recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Huntsville Hornets will look to defend their home pitch against the College Station Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Huntsville fell victim to Lake Creek and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lions, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Lions are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, College Station entered their match against Montgomery on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. College Station fell just short of Montgomery by a score of 1-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Cougars couldn't quite close it out.

Huntsville's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for College Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
