Game recap: Hamilton surprised by Willows

Willows (Calif.) upset No. 693 Hamilton (Hamilton City, Calif.) 20-7 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a field goal by Daniel Macias in the first quarter, the Honkers led 13-0 at the half.

Willows expanded its lead to 20 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Kyle Wycoff touchdown run.

The Honkers' standout player in the win was Macias. The junior kicked two field goals and two extra points.

The Braves' lone touchdown came on a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter.



The win was a nice bounce back for Willows, which lost to Corning last week, 42-14.

In a Sacramento Valley game next week Willows (2-3) takes on Live Oak, and Hamilton (2-3) will go up against Quincy in a Mid-Valley game.
